

This first group of drawings illustrates the primary development of working with coloured chalk pastel on black paper, beginning in the 1980s through to the present.
Created in response to the music,
usually string quartets and piano sonatas, and a little bit of
jazz and Gilbert & Sullivan, they explore with gestural movements, the elaborate linear connections which produce both positive and negative images, much like the movements found in dance and animation.
Colours work together to create a richly textured space, often loaded with subliminal imagery.
